YA Program Funding

How is the YA program funded?

Program Costs

The Local Consortium is responsible for securing sufficient funding for the local program. There are no restrictions on the types of funding, which may be used. Employers may underwrite program costs if they choose. Local YA grants are available to fund local programs under Wisconsin Statute 106.13.

Related Technical Instruction Costs

Costs of the Related Technical Instruction are generally shared by all schools participating in the consortium if students attend a common class.

Worksite Costs

Employers are responsible for covering the costs of providing skilled mentors to instruct students in the work-based competencies and for paying the student wages.
