Our communities and schools need caring individuals who have the training and tools to assist students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Designed for working paraprofessionals, those looking to get into a career in education, or parents or care providers wanting to better understand ASD, this program will teach you the essential skills to understand an ASD diagnosis. Then build on those skills to utilize the recommended interventions, strategies, and approaches to celebrate the ideas and interests of these special individuals. During this one-year program, you will discover how to help learners develop social skills, create a foundation of safety and trust, and build on their strengths through people-centered approaches. CVTC offers its students career service to aid in finding employment during and after an educational program.
CVTC offers tutoring to students through the Academic Services department.

Refunds for all courses scheduled to meet a semester or longer: 100% before the first day the class meets. The day the class meets and not the time of day defines the first class meeting. 80% during the first 14 calendar days from the first instructional day of the term. 60% during the 15th through the 28th calendar days from the first instructional day of the term. PLEASE NOTE:

Most employers are required to report certain employment information to the State of Wisconsin, including quarterly wage information for their employees. MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
